Lapsang Souchong Tea in 500g packet.( very subtle)
It is sometimes referred to as smoked tea Lapsang is distinct from all other types of tea because lapsang leaves are traditionally smoke-dried over pinewood fires, taking on a distinctive smoky flavour.
As regards the smoked flavour,
there is little to be smelt when the packet is opened. In drinking this lovely tea,
I can notice a very subtle smoke effect.
It turns out, that the very very smoky smell and flavour is a end of an Era.
China has new safety tests and the older versions will be hard to come by now.
They will not be allowed due to the smoke content itself. When will smoked fish come up against this. or will it be under the radar???
Whilst a very lovely tea which is excellent without milk or sugar,
it is not your typical strong smokey Lap Sang Souchong.
Each sip is more enjoyable than the last, but this is to be a very classy tea for
drinking tea on its own and with nothing added apart from your boiling water.
