This cast-Iron Cooker can be used in the outdoors, or in your home oven or on top of your stove. They are not knock proof and please put food in to heat up, as one would not put cold water, stock nor food into an already heated up cast iron cooker. The mysterious way that the heat gets to your food means deeper heating, and less burning. Bread made in an ordinary oven is likely to be extraordinary as will a stew be stupendous.
We have one only called 2Qt which is around 1.5/ 1.7 litres according to putting these side by side, that has a lip allowing embers to be heaped onto the lid. Most are as in the picture with the Dome type lid.
