Very reasonably priced and especially as it uses very thick cast iron. A 30cm Cast Iron frypan with a wooden handle.
The thicker the better after you lft this to the stove.
Food is more likely to brown without burning,
and the food is less likely to stick.
This is about the thickest that I have seen on the market
without needing a weightlifter to heave it onto your cooker.
Do follow instructions and scrub off the industrial grease before washing and seasoning. Do use a cane wok cleaner to clean off most things after using whilst allowing it to end up with a lovely non stick finish by heating off the moisture and baking back in the oils from use. Please do not use washing liquid except for that very first and only time.It really is a lovely surface and metal to create cuisine on. Foods may taste better as foods can brown more easily without burning as in cooking on thinner materials. The heat is more evenly and more deeply directed into your food. For putting the pan into an oven to finish off a steak, either wrap tin foil around the wooden handle, or, remove the handle altogether. Screw it back on when removed from oven. Make sure to put in a heavy screw driver to get a good tight refit of the wooden handle.
