Super cheap 26cm cast iron frypan with a wooden handle to keep the heat from burning your hand.
This is a super lovely pan as we use it and love using it every day. It is extra thick for giving you theĀ benefits of cooking with cast Iron. Most cast iron frypans are not as thick as this one.
The cooking heat coming from within the very thick metal will prevent that burning of food tendency that comes from very thin pans. You are therefore able to produce lovely gravy from the ability to brown foods, and also thickness means thatcooking is less likely to stick itself to your pan by burning. That burnt food has recently been pinged as somethngg to avoid. Probably more alarmism, but nevermind, as this frypan will see you get less of that anyway.
Do follow instructions and scrub off the industrial grease before washing and seasoning. Possibly use a cane wok brush as sold elsewhere on this website to clean with water immediately after using, and reheat again to dry it off. Please do not use any cleaning liquid as you want to create a lovely non stick finish. This is done by cleaning just after cooking with water and reheating the pan that will mean oils will be baked onto the cooking surface.
Please do not use washing liquid except for that very first and only time which is after you take it home, or prepare it for the very first time.
