Vacuum outer pot Thermal Cooker, Tiger brand.
The bigger the pot the better. Made in Japan to very high tolerances so less heat is lost to allow cooking.
Especially those that like soups, stews or herbal drinks. If you want the most extreme efficiency of use of power sources then this is your ultimate pot. It is like having an extra stove. All you have to do is to bring the contents with liquid of the inner pot to boil, and then place this boiling pot into the vacuum pot to lock in that boiling. Cooking is fast, but cooking left for hours will not burn or overcook. Rice porridge may be possible, but fluffy rice cannot be prepared using it. It is a two pot system, but the inner pot only can be placed on the heat. The outer pot is only there to create a perfect insulation to keep the heat in like as in a Dutch Oven.
excuse me....Hi there,
I was checking out thermal cookers on the web and came across your blurb re thermal cooker (Tiger brand).... which is mostly correct except that I discovered it CAN cook fluffy rice - both white and brown... and it's very easy!
I did it with 1 kilo of brown rice and water... didn't measure the water except by the Chinese finger method and it came out nice and fluffy after 30 minutes in the thermal pot.
