I used to sit next to a South African boy when I caught my morning bus to Auckland Grammar School. What I remembered vividly were his descriptions of fruit that were bursting with juice.
Mangoes needed to be eaten whilst sitting in a bath tub he would say.
Well these dried Pears are quite moist, almost juicy for a dried fruit and have a rather pronounced pear flavour.
