WE have some dried mushrooms, origin China,
we do call them shiitake but they are not from Japan.
More aromatic with a concentrated flavour after having been dried.
Re plump them up by soaking in hot , longer in cold- better flavour, or in warm water.
Some keep the water for cooking. - best before July 2024 but a great item to keep for possible engineered food shortages and will last well past that date IMHO.
